On Saturday November 23rd, 2019 Dianne Lanerd went to be with the Lord, at the age of 74, surrounded by family and friends. Dianne was born January 21, 1945 in Minneapolis MN to Harvey and Margaret Lanerd. She graduated from Robbinsdale High School in 1963. Diannes faith was very important to her as she became a "Missionary Benedictine Oblate" and it shone in every day of her life. She had many different jobs and touched many lives. She worked in the Emergency Department at the American Red Cross for many years and was there helping in disasters and serving those that needed assistance. Dianne loved to spend time with her family and had a passion for life and the outdoors. She loved to spend time in nature and up at their cabin. She loved to identify different types of birds that would come calling. Dianne loved to sing with the Cardinals. She was also an avid fisherwoman and enjoyed her time out on her boat reeling in the big one. Dianne is preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law Karen. Dianne will be greatly missed by her wife of 34 years Cheryl Allex, two brothers Jim (Penny), Larry, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her family wishes to give special thanks to all of the staff at Jones- Harrison Residence and to the Interim Hospice for all of their love and care. A memorial service is planned for Sunday, December 8th, at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens at 5125 West Broadway, Crystal, MN at 2pm. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Memorials preferred to be donated to the Alzheimers Society. |
