He grew up in Richfield and Robbinsdale and attended school there. Tom moved with his family to Rochester where he completed his education and graduated from John Marshall High School in 1963. On March 6, 1965, he was married to Judy L. Anderson in Rochester and they made their home there. Tom worked in the finance and banking industry for 40 years. He lived and worked in Olivia, Fairbault, St. Peter, and Owatonna. They moved to Willmar in 1980 and Tom worked at the Farmers State Bank of Raymond. Tom's passions were volunteering at Rice Hospital and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed people and being of help to others. He loved his family, especially seeing his grandchildren grow, going hunting with his son and he enjoyed anything with classic cars including building model cars. Tom is survived by his wife Judy of Willmar, one son, Greg (and Dawn) Anderson of Willow River and one daughter, Stacey (and John) Cook of Lakeville. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Justin Olson-Anderson, Hannah, Christian and Hailey Cook, one brother, James (and Julie) Anderson of Waterville and two sisters, Susan (and David) Jennings of Chaska and Nancy Cole of Rochester, besides other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
