Baker, Mary Good (Miller) 78, born 1945, passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2023, in her favorite recliner at home while overlooking Bass Lake just outside of Biwabik, MN. Surrounded by family and with her devoted dog, Zoey, by her side, she made her journey home. -----------Mary was born in Minneapolis. She was raised on a farm by her parents near what is now Plymouth. -------------She often shared memories growing up in "the 50's" near Medicine Lake with her six siblings. --------------Mary married Alfred Baker Jr. and together they had three children. Through the years, Mary raised her children and grandchild Timothy in the NW suburbs of Minneapolis and Moorhead. ------------Mary worked as a professional in the field of medical device manufacturing and quality control.----------- She enjoyed fishing, thrift-store shopping and gardening. ----------For the past twenty years Mary has lived near Biwabik in a cottage next to her son. Her grandchildren spent their summers at the lake with their cousins; their sun-soaked days were energized with Grandma's KoolAid and her endless pancakes.---------Together the families formed a strong, fun loving bond - just what she wanted. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Alyce Miller, daughter Tammy, siblings Raymond, Amy, Timothy, Mark and Doug. -------She is survived by her sister Christine Turner, daughter Melody (Karl) Pechous, son Fred (Lisa) Baker, grandchildren Timothy Baker, Kelly (Eleazar) Leal, Casey Baker, Rosie Pechous, Cole Baker, Josie Pechous, great-granddaughter Mercedes Leal, and many nieces and nephews.------Published on December 27, 2023 in the Star Tribune. |
